Barack Obama

I got all choked up watching Obama accept the nomination tonight. I was so blown away by his speech and his ideas and his intelligence and his presence I don't even know what to say. Normally I don't take any interest in politics whatsoever, but tonight was surprisingly emotional for me. I'm very moved by what Obama is all about. God bless.

I am there with ya, sistah!
When Bug and I went to the taping of The Tonight Show (to see Taylor perform), Barack Obama was one of the guests. At that time, neither one of us really knew who the heck Obama was. He was a senator who had written a book, and whose plans for running for the Presidency were unknown. But as he walked across to Leno's desk, all eyes were on him, and the vibe in that theater was magical. Once he started speaking, I had a hope for politics that I never had before. His charisma and intelligence amazed me then, and he continues to impress me.

Obama HAS to win. That hothead Sarah Palin is nails on a chalkboard, and I don't want her representation. I want none of that.

I am waiting for my absentee ballot to arrive. They promised timely delivery.

Girl, I'm joining you in India if McCain wins this thing. He's a doddering old fool with a temper problem and not much goin on upstairs. And don't even get me STARTED on that lamebrain VP candidate.
